- Yes, it’s legal to walk around Jim Thorpe with a wine slushie in hand.
- You can thank Wild Elder Wine and Cider Co. for making it fun and fruity.
- Nate did it. You can too.
- Just don’t spill it on your goose plushie.
What’s the Deal With the Wine Slushies?
In most of Pennsylvania, walking around with open alcohol is illegal.
In Jim Thorpe? Not anymore...
There’s a magical place called Wild Elder Wine and Cider Co. where they serve delicious wine slushies and cider drinks that make you feel like you’ve been hugged by a drunk berry bush. The best part? You’re allowed to leave with your drink. Yes, seriously. You can stroll through downtown Jim Thorpe, wine in hand, like you own the place (you don’t, but you’ll feel like you do).
What Does It Taste Like?
It’s cold. It’s sweet. It’s fruity.
Imagine the adult version of a Slurpee that knows what taxes are.
Nate got the wine slushie and confirmed it’s “really, really good.”
(He also confirmed he got a bit tipsy halfway down Broadway. It happens.)
